Red Crow

Red Crow (2017) is a woody aromatic masculine from Yves Saint Laurent, built on a bright, effervescent opening of aldehydes, bergamot, lemon, ginger, and mint. That citric-spicy burst quickly gives way to a green-fruity heart of apple, pineapple, violet leaf, sage, and geranium, which lends a crisp, almost barbershop cleanliness. The base is where it gains depth: ambergris and musk provide a soft, slightly animalic warmth, while cedar, vetiver, balsam fir, and incense add a dry, resinous, smoky finish. The overall effect is fresh spicy and aromatic, with strong citrus and green facets. It suits collectors who enjoy classic fougère-style freshness with a modern resinous twist, and it works best in spring and summer daytime wear, though the incense base gives it enough weight for cooler evenings.
